The short version

Bug In works entirely on your device. We do not run servers, we do not require an account, and we do not collect, sell or share your personal data. Syncing between your devices happens through your own Apple iCloud or Google account, under their privacy terms, not ours.

Who we are

Bug In is published by [Company name] ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Bug In app ("the app") and the website at bugin.app handle, and how.

Information the app stores

The app lets you record information such as:

• supply inventory and expiry dates;
• checklist progress and readiness scores;
• family plan details, including names, phone numbers, meeting points and medical notes you choose to enter;
• copies of documents you add to the document vault.

All of this is stored locally on your device. We cannot see it, access it or recover it for you.

Sync

If you enable sync, the app uses the cloud storage provided by your operating system: iCloud on Apple devices and Google account storage on Android. Your data moves from your device to your own cloud account and on to your other signed-in devices. It does not pass through any system we operate. Apple's and Google's privacy policies govern that storage. You can turn sync off at any time in the app's settings.

What we do not collect

• No accounts, emails or passwords.
• No location tracking.
• No advertising identifiers or ad networks.
• No analytics SDKs or third-party trackers in the app.

Purchases

Bug In is sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Payment is processed by Apple or Google. We receive no payment details and no personally identifying purchase data from them.

Crash reports

If your device is set to share diagnostics with Apple or Google, they may send us anonymised crash reports that contain no personal data. You control this in your device's settings.

The website

bugin.app is a static website hosted on Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts. Cloudflare may process standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log the request under Google's privacy policy.

Children

The app is intended for adults managing a household and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no data, no information about children is gathered.

Your rights

Because your data stays on your device and in your own cloud account, you can view, export or delete it yourself at any time by using the app's tools or by uninstalling the app. If you believe we hold any personal data about you, for example from a support email, you can ask us to delete it using the contact below.

Changes to this policy

If anything here changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
